Wakeboarding Tricks for Every Level

Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced rider, there are plenty of wakeboarding tricks for every skill level. Here are some tricks to try, based on your experience:

Beginner:

  • Surface 180: A surface 180 is a basic trick that involves turning 180 degrees on the surface of the water. To perform a surface 180, start by approaching the wake with a medium-sized cut. As you approach the wake, pop off the top and turn your body 180 degrees. Land back on the water with your weight centered on your board.
  • Ollie: An ollie is a basic trick that involves jumping off the surface of the water. To perform an ollie, start by approaching the wake with a medium-sized cut. As you approach the wake, pop off the top and lift your back foot off the board. Land back on the water with your weight centered on your board.

Intermediate:

  • Surface 360: A surface 360 is a more advanced trick that involves turning 360 degrees on the surface of the water. To perform a surface 360, start by approaching the wake with a medium-sized cut. As you approach the wake, pop off the top and turn your body 360 degrees. Land back on the water with your weight centered on your board.
  • Wake to wake jump: A wake to wake jump involves jumping from one side of the wake to the other. To perform a wake to wake jump, start by approaching the wake with a medium-sized cut. As you approach the wake, pop off the top and turn your body in the direction you want to jump. Land back on the water on the opposite side of the wake with your weight centered on your board.

Advanced:

  • Backside 360: A backside 360 is an advanced trick that involves spinning 360 degrees with your back facing the boat. To perform a backside 360, start by approaching the wake with a medium-sized cut. As you approach the wake, pop off the top and spin your body 360 degrees with your back facing the boat. Land back on the water with your weight centered on your board.
  • Indy grab: An indy grab is a trick that involves grabbing the toe edge of your board with your back hand while in the air. To perform an indy grab, start by approaching the wake with a medium-sized cut. As you approach the wake, pop off the top and reach back with your back hand to grab the toe edge of your board. Land back on the water with your weight centered on your board.

No matter what level you’re at, there are plenty of wakeboarding tricks to try. With practice and dedication, you’ll be able to progress from beginner to advanced tricks in no time!
