Surfing and Paddleboarding, How to describe them? I’m not sure, and even if I could, I wouldn’t do them justice. When you stand up on your board for the first time it’s the uncontrollable, throw your hands in the air and scream feeling, if only for a few seconds!!

So whether you’re 8 or 88, the only way you can really understand what all the fuss is about is to get some gear and get wet!! That’s where we can help. Teaching people to surf and SUP isn’t just a job to us, it’s our passion!

Surf Steps is based on Bournemouth beach, 500m from Boscombe pier. We’re the only Surfing England Centre of Excellence based on the South Coast, and the closest to London. All of our instructors are accredited professional instructors with many years of experience. We offer a selection of different courses to suit all levels and requirements and we pride ourselves on running sessions which are professional but great fun, safe but exciting!!

SURF & SUP SCHOOL LESSONS

Beginner sessions

Our Beginner Session is £35.00 per person for over 16’s
£30.00 per person for under 16’s.
This is for a 1.5 hour session and includes all the equipment you’ll need (boards and wetsuits).
Got a group of 5 or more who’d like to try surfing or paddle boarding? see our Party section for discount offers.
A £10.00 per person deposit is payable at the time of booking. Our normal Terms and Conditions apply.

Improver sessions

If you’ve had a surfing or SUP lesson before you’ll know how much fun it is and no doubt want to do it again and again?! Well we can help, and hopefully we’ll show you how to improve your surfing and SUPing along the way too!

Our Improver Sessions are only £25.00 per person, this is for a 1.5 hour session and includes all your equipment (boards and wetsuits) plus there’ll be an instructor on hand to give you hints and tips to improve your surfing or paddle boarding too!

Parties, Groups, Stag and Hen do’s

Organising a party, Stag or Hen do?

Then try surfing! it’s great fun and a dip in the sea is a good cure for your fuzzy head after a big night out!! We can cater for groups of up to 24 people and offer discounts depending on group size. . . Our normal price for a beginner session is £35.00 per person but if you have a group of 5 or more people then we’ll drop this down to £30.00 per person (group discounts aren’t available in July and August).

This is for a 1.5 hour session and includes your equipment (boards and wetsuits)

We need to take a £10.00 per person deposit at the time of booking to confirm any sessions, this deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred up to 7 days before your session. All our normal Terms and Conditions apply.

Schools and community groups

We’re keen to show the next generation how much fun surfing and paddle boarding are and teach them how to do it, so we offer great prices for school and youth groups.
Normally our Basic Group Session is 2 hours long, all equipment provided for £35.00pp, (£30.00pp for under 16’s) However, we like to offer schools and youth groups a reduced fee based on the number of instructors required; (1 instructor to 8 students), rather than a price per person, to this end we are happy to offer the following:

• 1 – 8 students £160.00 (inc VAT)
• 9 – 16 students £280.00 (inc VAT)
• 17 – 24 students £360.00 (inc VAT)

This would be a 1.5 hr lesson, all equipment provided.
