Product Description
Hike on our local hill “Seru Largu” which translates from the local language Papiamentu in “Long Hill” with a fantastic view from a height of 125m.
Our start/finish point will be the Millennium Monument Bonaire
On this monument you can see the text “Kristu Ayera Awe Semper” translated into English: Christ yesterday, today forever.
Our local guide will tell about Bonaire’s history and unique flora & fauna and maybe you will encounter some of the local fauna as well.
Fauna on Seru Largu
Frequently visitors on the hill are the 2 species of parrots and other local birds. Further, you will hear a variety of lizards rustling in the bushes and our iguanas in the trees. Domesticated and occasionally wild goats, also love the nice views during their search for etables.
Flora on Seru Largu
The branches of the trees on the hill have a special structure due to the constant north-east winds on the island. It is interesting to see how many trees are shaped in the same direction. The sage bush is also plentiful in this area.
Furthermore, to make your hiking experience even more adventurous with us, We’ve hidden in this great location 2 Geocaches! Also with interesting information about the area and Bonaire.
