7 months agoMust stop if you are in the area. So many options of wines to take back with you. The tour is stunning when you go through so many km of underground tunnels. We had a great talented guide, Ionela, super nice well explained and intriguing stories to go well with the nice place.

3 months agofirst of all, getting to Cricova Wine Cellars is super easy if you know where is bus stop You find it in the corner of Strada Vasile Alecsandri and Strada Alexandru cel Bun. Travel takes 40 mins, costs 6 lei and you need to leave in Cricova (middle of city). Then 15 mins walk following signs and here you go. Reception explained all options and we decided to take tour with tasting. Cristina was super nice and helpful :) Tour takes 1,5 h and we went through several stops, including movie and producing of wine French method. Wine tasting covered 6 wines and we ended up extremely pleased chatting about history of Moldova, tradition and cultural aspects we weren’t aware. What a great hospitality;)

6 months agoMust see for everyone visiting Moldova. More than 100km of roads underground that are full of Moldovan history. You need to make reservation beforehand. It can be done via their website, they understand English language.
