We started in 2012 to share our passion for sailing! We are proud to have sailed thousands of participants!

We offer open or exclusive sailing experiences that are tailored made to the profile of the participants. The objective is that everyone enjoys the great feeling of sailing on the waters of Rio.

Although destinations and routes vary, depending on the prevailing wind and sea conditions, each experience is unique, and the contemplation of the spectacular scenery and sights of Rio de Janeiro guaranteed!

“Kamehameha”, our 39.5-foot (12-meter) blue-water sailboat accommodates 10 participants, is equipped with full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, music, shaded area, dinghy, radio communication station, wi-fi, as well as mandatory and optional security equipment.

SAIL IN RIO, founded in 2012, is specialized in sailing tours and home of sailboat KAMEHAMEHA. We are passionate about sailing and our home city of Rio de Janeiro!

Here is what we do:

1) SHARED SAILING TOURS:
DURATION: 3 hours
GROUP SIZE: 3 to 11 people;
DEPARTURE TIMES:
11 am (12 noon summertime): Scenic Views of Rio: Sails off when the sun starts to warm the continent, the lighting and temperature are milder and the wind and sea are calmer;

3 pm (4 pm summertime): Sunset in Rio: Sails off when the sun starts to go down and the atmosphere loses temperature and the lighting takes on warm hues;

PRICES: R$225 per person weekdays and R$250 on weekends and holidays;

R$250 and R$280, respectively, from Dec22 onwards.

50% for children 2 to 10 years old.

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: Beer, lime caipirinha, mineral water, juice, soda, and snacks (tray of cold cuts and toasts with ricotta dip);

DESTINATIONS: We do not follow a strict route due to constant changes in wind direction and intensity, and sea conditions. However, we are always looking for the best angles to appreciate the natural and historical monuments of Rio de Janeiro: Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, Flamengo, and Botafogo beaches, Urca, the Fortresses, Historic Center, and Porto Maravilha. When conditions permit, we may switch to the beaches of Rio or Niterói. Each tour is a unique experience!

2) Book and pay online and immediately guarantee your participation;

CANCELLATIONS:
Available up to 6 hours of the tour. Please use the button “Manage My Booking” available on your confirmation email;

BOARDING: Marina da Glória, Downtown Rio.

2) EXCLUSIVE/PRIVATE TOURS:
DURATIONS: 2 hours (min) to 6 hours (max);
GROUP SIZES: 1 to 11 people;
DEPARTURE TIMES: to be agreed;
PRICES: R$600 per hour (R$700 from Dec22 onwards – minimum of 2 hours). The price is fixed according to number of hours, regardless of the number of participants (up to 11, max).

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: mineral water and ice. Bring your own combination of drinks and appetizers. Refrigerators and kitchenware are available aboard.

BOOKINGS: Please email or direct message us and send in:
1. The full name of participants;
2. An email address for remittance of the voucher;
3. A cellphone number with access to direct messaging;
4. A copy of the guarantee deposit slip for the amount of 20% of the value of the tour. The amount will be deducted from the total amount payable on the day of the tour.

CANCELLATIONS:
1. Cancellations and refunds may be requested at any time up to 24 hours of the tour.
2. Cancellations requested within 24 hours of the tour will not refund the guarantee deposit.
3. SAIL IN RIO may cancel at any time, due to adverse sailing conditions or mechanical problems, and the guarantee deposit will be fully refunded.
