To begin the Base camp trek, we fly from Kathmandu to Tenzing Hilary Airport, at Lukla. Approximately 35 Minutes of mountain flight is a thrilling experience above the clouds. Enjoy the bird’s eye view of breathtaking Himalayas views, unique landscapes, and Himalayas ranges. True trekking starts from Luka, meet the rest of the crews. You walk along the Dudh Kosi river, terraced fields, and small villages to reach Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar is the capital of Khumbu valley, will find everything regarding trekking pieces of equipment, and other necessary gear. You can find the best accommodation ranging from your budget limitation. Here we acclimatize one more day because acclimatization is essential to adjust your body to mountain climates. From the next day, Gradually you follow the trail to Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep. When we go higher the elevation, seems like the mountains are closer to you, eventually, the foothill takes you to the giant view of Mount Everest from Kalapather(8848m).

Everest base camp trek 14 days Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu After arrival at Kathmandu International airport, meet our representative. He will assist you to transfer your hotel. At the hotel, our officer gives you an orientation on the overall trip. O/n at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2810m). Trek to Phakding (2652m)

Early morning transfer to Kathmandu airport domestic terminal to catch a flight to Lukla (2810m). The flight duration is approximately 45 minutes. Have tea and coffee in Lukla. Then your trekking starts from Lukla. The trail contour through the Sherpa village and yak pasture land. Have lunch in Thado Koshi (2591m) with a stunning view of Kum Kangaru(6370m). You will see the painted Mani wall in Ghat (chhuthawa) village. In the late afternoon, you arrive in Phakding. O/n at mountain lodge.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446 m)

Your trekking starts after breakfast at the mountain lodge. You cross a long suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River which originated from the Khumbu glacier. Today you will enter the Sagarmatha National Park in Monjo village. You have lunch in Jorsale(2740m). The trail goes ahead along the Dudhakoshi river. After half an hour of steep walking, you will see Mt Everest (8848m). The trail ascends until Namche Bazaar through the alpine forest. O/n at mountain lodge.

Day 4: Rest day in Namche Bazaar is especially for acclimatization with altitude. During this day you can walk around Namche Bazaar. Here you can get many facilities such as a bank, internet, Bakery, and shopping. After breakfast One and a half hours of steep walking to Syangboche(3880m). From Syangboche you can see Mt. Everest(8848m), Lhotse(8516m), Ama Dablam(6814m), Thamserku (6618m), and more mountains. After lunch in Khumjung village(3780m) hike back to the Namche Bazaar. O/n at mountain lodge.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche(3867 m).7h walking.

Today you can see a very close-up view of Thamserku (6618m), and Ama Dablam(6814m). Also, you can see Mount Everest (8848) and other world high mountains. On the way, you can see Nepal’s national bird Pheasant, and a mountain animal called the Himalayan Thar. From Kyangjuma the trail goes all the way down to the Dudh Koshi. After crossing a long suspension bridge then the trail ascends through the pine trees. After two and a half hours of walking, you will arrive at Tengboche(3860m). O/n at mountain lodge.

Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche(4260m).

From the Tengboche trail move down towards Deboche(3820m). After Deboche, the trail becomes very pleasant. You will feel very comfortable. Here you have chances to see Musk deer. It is a very rare wild animal. After crossing the iron bridge on your right side you can see the great view of Ama Dablam(6814m). Then the trail moves gradually up to Pangboche(4410m). After lunch in Shomare (4110m)you walk for around two hours and arrive at Dingboche Village (4410m). O/n at mountain lodge

Day 7: Rest day. For acclimatization, you can day hike to the Chukhung Village (4730 m).

It is the best place to acclimatize those who are attending to climb Island peak or trek to Everest base camp. The Chukhung village has several Yak herders, hunts, and a few tea houses. From Chukhum great view of the Karyolung, Numbur, and Khagtega mountains. 8h walking. O/n at Dingboche in the mountain lodge.

Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche(4930 m).

From Dingboche, the trail climbs up 20m above the village. From here you can see a panoramic view of the Khumbu Mountains including Mt, Makalu (8463m). Tea break in Dughla(4620m). After Dughla you ascend along with a pebbly and sandy trail. After half an hour’s climb, you arrive at Dughla Pass (4830m). In Dughla pass you see monuments in the memory of Everest climbers who have lost their life while climbing Mt. Everest. From here the trail

goes gradually up to the Lobuche (4910m). Evening sunset view of the Nuptse(7864m). 5h hours walking. O/n at mountain lodge

Day 9: Lobuche to Gorkhashep(5140m)- Everest base camp (5364m). Return back to the Gorakshep.

This morning you might feel chilly because the temperature may go down -2 to 3 degrees Celsius. In the beginning, you walk along the flat trial through the yak pasture trail (50 minutes). Then you have to walk on the glacier. The trail is rough and icy in some parts. And you arrive at Gorak Shep (5140m). At this time the temperature is nearly 10 to 15 degree Celsius. You might feel fatigued. Have lunch and rest in Gorak Shep. After light lunch start to hike to the Everest base camp (5364m). After a while return back to Gorak Shep. Enjoy the view of the Khumbu glacier and the foot of the world’s highest mountain. 8-hour walking. O/n at mountain lodge.

Day 10: Gorkha shep to Kalapatter(5545m). And down to the Pheruche(4230 m).

Early in the morning start climbing to the Kalapatthar(5550m). After nearly two and a half hours of climbing, you will reach on top of the Kalapatthar. There you get a little bit of strong wind. Kalapatthar is one of the prime points for the massive view of Mount Everest (8848m). Enjoy the view of Mt. Everest and other towering mountains. After breakfast, you will back to the Pheriche same route. 10-hour walking. O/n at mountain lodge.

Day 11 : Pheruche to Namche Bazzar. 8h walking. O/n at mountain lodge.

 

Day 12 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla. 8h walking. O/n at mountain lodge.

Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu.

You should pack up early in the morning. Then have breakfast and hike down to Lukla airstrip. Take a flight to Kathmandu. The rest of your day is free in Kathmandu. In the evening you can stroll around Thamel, the major tourist destination of Kathmandu. You can do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs for your family and relatives. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu

Day 14: Transfer to the airport for your onward journey Today is your the last day in Nepal. Our officer will come to meet you at your hotel to escort you to Kathmandu International Airport for your final departure.
